PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a both high- and low-voltage power source type quick heat roller, which has long life, enables very-fast heating, and can be used for both a 100 V power source and a 200V power source, for an electronic photographing device such as a copying machine and a printer. SOLUTION: This both high- and low-voltage power source type quick heater roller is characterized by the constitution that a heat generating resistance body film is formed on the inner or outer peripheral surface of a cylinder body 4 by arranging two semicylindrical heat generating resistance body films 6 and 6 opposite each other and the two cylindrical heat generating resistance body films 6 and 6 include a heat generating resistance body layer 14 which is electrified to generate heat and are insulated from each other by arranging a slit between the lengthwise edges of te heat generating resistance body films 6 and 6. When a power source is connected to this quick heat roller to supply 100 V electric power, the two semicylindrical heat generating resistance body layers are connected in parallel and when 200 V electric power is supplied, the two semicylindrical are connected in series, so that their individual heat generating electric power and total heat generating electric power can be made nearly equal within a range of variance in source voltage.
