PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a coaxial cable, which can improve productivity and also allows a space within a factory to be economized. SOLUTION: A method of the present invention includes a winding step in which an insulating body 3 made of string shape foamed plastic is spirally wound around an inner conductor 1 to produce an inner intermediate product. In this method, the inner conductor 1 is moved continuously through a central port 12 of a rotary die 9 for extrusion. Also, a molten plastic 23 for foaming is extruded in a band shape from a discharge port 15 of a section 14 of the rotary die 9, while rotating the rotary die 9 to wind spirally the molten plastic around the inner conductor, thereby forming the insulating body 3. |
