<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable network equipment to control communication of each user, performing data communication. SOLUTION: On a communication network having network equipment 5 for repeating data transmission, a multiuser terminal 1a to be shared by plural users and an IP address managing machine 7 for managing an IP address/user name data base 9, in which the correspondent relation of the IP addresses and the user names of this multiuser terminal 1a is recorded, are provided. The multiuser terminal 1a has plural IP addresses and performs the dedicated assignment of an idle IP address to each of plural users, who share the multiuser terminal 1a. The multiuser terminal 1a reports the user name and the IP address to the IP address managing machine 7 and the IP address managing machine 7 registers them in the data base 9. When data are received from the multiuser terminal 1a, the network equipment 5 inquires the user name of a transmission source IP address recorded in these data to the IP address managing machine 7, discriminates that user name and controls data communication corresponding to the discriminated user name according to the preset operating policy.</p> |
