PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image forming device and a processing cartridge that can maintain an excellent image quality over a long term by preventing the damage of an electrophotographic photoreceptor caused at a transfer process. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic image forming device in which the electrophotographic photoreceptor is used, and orderly having an electrifying means having an electrifying member consisting of magnetic particles and arranged so as to come into contact with the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an exposure means, a developing means and transfer means having a transfer belt in the periphery of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, a universal hardness value HU (D) for a surface coating material test under a specified environment (22.5 deg.C/50% RH) for the surface layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor used in the image forming device satisfies the expression of HU(D)>=HU(B)+100 against a universal hardness value HU (B) for the surface coating material test under the environment thereof for the transfer belt. And, the process cartridge is provided. |
