PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium, to which the authentication information which makes duplication, imitation and forgery impossible is added, and a recording and reproducing method thereof. SOLUTION: This recording medium 1 has a recording region 2 of information, performs recording and reproducing of the information and, furthermore, has a magnetic film 3 in which a magnetic domain in a degaussed state is formed. This recording and reproducing method of the recording medium having the recording region of the information comprises a stage of recording the information into the recording region, a stage of forming the magnetic domain in a degaussed state on the magnetic film of the recording medium, a stage of detecting the information of the magnetic domain in a degaussed state and making the detected information to the instinct authentication information of the recording medium and a stage of reproducing the information recorded in the recording region. |
