PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunctions in a power supply due to booster cable not reaching, depending on the parked location of a vehicle, when the dead battery of the vehicle requires power supply from an external power source for relief, and prevent a vehicle equipped with a shift-by-wire system of an automatic transmission from being confined in a garage. SOLUTION: An emergency power supply socked 110 is disposed in a vehicle compartment, to provide this emergency power supply unit for vehicle for supplying power easily and safely to an ECU 20, which is an on-vehicle electric apparatus source via the socket 110 from an external power source 140 for relief without having to open the hood of the vehicle. Sure parking release can be made and move the vehicle, even in the case of power shortage in the vehicle equipped with a shift-by-wire system.
