PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera system, which reduces the production cost of a camera main body and easily copes with the change in a picture processing system, and an accessory for moving picture recording which constitutes this system. SOLUTION: A moving picture card 20 set to a camera main body 1 is provided with a moving picture corresponding signal processing part 23 which subjects unprocessed moving picture data sent from a CPU 100 of the camera main body 1 to prescribed picture processing, a recording medium 22 which consists of an SRAM or the like and records processed moving picture data, a CPU 21 which controls the moving picture corresponding signal processing part 23 and the recording operation of the recording medium 22, and an interface 24 for connection to an interface 112 of the camera main body 1.
