PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable reluctance synchro-motor which realizes reduction in cost by changing a gap length of rotor and stator, providing an energizing coil 3 and a three-phase output coil for generating a magnetic flux in the stator side and changing interlinkage magnetic flux of the three-phase output coil by using change of reluctance in view of obtaining an output voltage. SOLUTION: This variable reluctance synchro-motor comprises a ring-type stator 10, providing energizing coils 12A to 12F and three-phase output coils 13A to 13F and a rotor 11 which is provided at the internal side of stator 10 to have deviated rotating shaft 11a and has only an iron core having no coil. With rotation of rotor 11, the gap length of rotor 11 and stator 10 changes and reluctance of output coils 13A to 13F of each phase changes. Thereby, the three-phase sine wave voltage can be obtained from the output coils 13A to 13F.
