PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifocus detection device which can prevent stray light which causes errors from being generated in a focus detecting device having plural focus detection areas. SOLUTION: This multifocus detecting device is equipped with prisms 25E and 25C which deflect pieces LC and LE of luminous flux passing through focus detection apertures 21C and 21E of a visual field mask 21 arranged on a film equivalent surface to crossing directions, and splits the crossing pieces LC and LE of luminous flux by corresponding separator masks 31C and 31E and forms a couple of light quantity distributions, having an interval corresponding to the focus state of a photographic lens 51 on line sensors 33C and 33E by the separator lenses 33C and 33E, and a stray light cutoff mask 41 which cuts off the pieces LC and LE, so that they do not reach the line sensors 33C and 33E is arranged at the position where the pieces LC and LE cross each other. |
