PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical recording method and device optically recording the prescribed data for a one side reproducing double layer structural DRAW type recording medium, preventing a signal recorded on a second recording layer relatively far from particularly a light incident side from deteriorating and record-able information density from lowering, and attaining perfect reproducing compatibility and satisfying a request of DVD authoring. SOLUTION: First of all, a second recording layer recording part RL2-D of the first half of the inversion recording data INV-D is recorded on a second recording layer RL2 placed far from the read-out surface of the optical disk (step S5), and thereafter, a first recording layer part RL1-D of the second half of the inversion recording data INV-D is recorded on a first recording layer RL1 placed near to the read-out surface of the optical disk (step S10) for the optical disk having two layers of the first recording layer RL1 and the second recording layer RL2.
