PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing the electrode of a nonaqueous electrolyte battery with means for preventing generation of burrs, and improving perforation flaws in press-perforating a metal film to form leads. SOLUTION: This electrode consists of current collecting metal film 31 and 32, the edge portions of which are divided by a plurality of cutouts into a plurality of rectangular leads. The method comprises the steps of first press-working of the current collecting metal film 31, 32 to form a plurality of holes 81 arranged with a prescribed interval, and second press-perforating the current collecting metal film by the interval of two adjacent holes 18 to form a plurality of cutouts 82, thereby obtaining a plurality of short metal strips 61 arranged at a given interval. The base of the metal strip 61 is provided with two arc- shaped portions 62R positioned on both sides having required width by a second stamping process. |
