PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable gas sensor without being affected by moisture. SOLUTION: A pair of gas sensing elements is arranged in each independent space, one space is opened to a gas to be detected, and the opening part of the other space is covered with a film body that can permeate vapor and at the same time cannot permeate the gas to be detected. As the film body, a fluororesin-family ion exchange film or a hollow-fiber membrane is preferably used. The gas sensor can be applied to a semiconductor-type gas sensor, a contact-combustion-type gas sensor, and a heat-conduction-type gas sensor.
