<p>Photosoluble polymeric barriers or membranes are produced by reacting a selected polymer with protic functional groups, e.g. poly(acrylic acid) or poly(vinyl alcohol), with a multifunctional vinyl ether and a PAG. Optionally, a sensitizer may be added. The mixture is baked to effect crosslinking of the polymer. The resulting water-impermeable material can be decrosslinked and solubilized by irradiation with a visible or UV light.</p> |
