The seat cover has two layers an upper layer (1) of porous material and an under layer (2). The underlayer contains conductive fibres (4), e.g. of stainless steel, which penetrate the upper layer. These provide both corona discharge and direct discharge of the electrostatics charges generated on the upper layer by movement of the occupants body
