A device for manufacturing, in particular, plastic caps for closing containers, comprising molding units (1, 2), each of which is composed of a male mold part (1) and of a female mold part (2). The male mold part (1) has a punch (13) which is directly provided with compressed air which exits throug h ports (23a), so as to cause the separation of the cap (A) from the punch (13 ) and facilitate the removal of the cap (A).
