PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment which enhances air-tightness between a filter belt and a suction box by electromagnetic force, improves dewaterability and reduces the abrasion of the filter belt when vacuum suction is performed while synchronizing the suction box of a horizontal vacuum dehydrator with the filter belt and running the same. SOLUTION: In this vacuum dehydrator, the endless filter belt 1 which horizontally revolves is extendedly disposed, the suction box 6 which freely moves back and forth is disposed along the lower surface of a filtering zone of the endless filter belt 1, a suction pump 6 is synchronized with the filter belt 1 and moved, and the vacuum suction is performed. Therein, a magnet 24 and an electromagnet 25 are disposed respectively on the lower surface of the filter belt 1 and on the upper surface of the suction box 6. When the suction pump 6 is synchronized with the filter belt 1 and runs, the electromagnet 25 is energized, the electromagnetic force is energized, the suction pump 6 is adhered closely to the filter belt 1 by sucking force of the magnet 24 and vacuum sucking force, thereby, the air-tightness is improved, the dewaterability is improved and the abrasion of the filter belt is reduced.
