PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow guard-cum-waterproof joint material which is for use at a connection portion between right and left component members of a roof or a wall body when the roof or the wall body is formed of external finishing materials such as transversely roofed roof materials or transversely stretched external wall materials, and has a snow guard function imparted thereto. SOLUTION: The snow guard-cum-waterproof joint material P is comprised of a waterproof joint material A and a snow guard B. The material A is constituted of a panel strip portion 4 and an engaging portion 7. The panel strip portion 4 is of a narrow-width and short-length plate, has its midpoint outward protruded and its front end inward extend, and has its central portion concavely formed in cross section to form a projection 4a extending in the longitudinal direction. The engaging portion 7 has an engaging tongue piece 9 obtained by outward protruding a lateral side end of the panel strip portion 4. The snow guard B is constituted of a horizontally planar engaging piece 10, an erect piece 11 obtained by upward protruding the central portion of the engaging piece 10, and a snow guard portion 12 obtained by outward protruding one end of the erect piece 11. The snow guard-cum-waterproof joint material P is connected together by engaging the engaging piece 10 of the snow guard B with the engaging portion 7 of the waterproof joint material A.
