PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid material for instant food container that does not require any plastic molding cup and makes the food drunkable and eatable in a relative simple preparation. SOLUTION: A lid material 5 is made such that a base material sheet 11 having as its major material a paper layer 11a and a surface sheet 12 are laminated to each other through an adhering layer 13. A peeling-off glue layer 14 is formed at the side of the base material sheet being in contact with the adhering layer. A half-cut line 21 for use in forming a hot water dripping hole reaching up to an entire depth of the base material sheet is formed at a substantial central segment of the base material sheet in a substantial circular shape. Half-cut lines 23 for forming an elliptical shaped peeling-off knob enclosing the half-cut lines forming the hot water discharging hole from inside the seal opening knob 3 outside the cup main body opening segment are arranged to pass from outside the surface sheet through the adhering layer and reaches a paper layer of the base material sheet.
