PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating paper container having a superior printing effect in which an outer curl segment of the container has a superior shape holding characteristic, a surface of the outer curl segment is made smooth and flat to keep a mouth contact in a well state and at the same time its manufacturing step can be simplified. SOLUTION: There is provided a paper container of an inverse frustum of cone having a barrel member in which a surface resin layer, a cardboard layer, a low melting point thermoplastic resin layer and a high melting point thermoplastic resin layer formed through partial printing are laminated in the order from its outer surface, wherein the low melting point thermoplastic resin layer in a region opposing the surface resin layer is foamed by heating and evaporating moisture contained in the cardboard layer.
