A clarification treatment apparatus (10) comprising a first agitator (14) for mixing a material to be treated such as a sludge from a sewage treatment tank with coke and optionally an appropriate aid, a second agitator (18) for mixing the material to be treated with a flocculant, a dehydrator (24) and a dryer (26). Due to the agitation by the first agitator, pollutants in the material to be treated is efficiently adsorbed on the coke. The mixing of the material to be treated with a flocculant forms flocks, which are then efficiently dewatered by both pressurization and suction in the dehydrator. The resultant dewatered cake is charged to the dryer together with an oil and heated for drying, thereby producing a fuel having a high calory. |
