PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the torsional rigidity of a fishing rod having a solid rod. SOLUTION: This fishing rod made of a fiber-reinforced resin including a synthetic resin as a matrix and reinforced with a reinforcing fiber is constituted so as to have the solid rod formed so as to have a solid body 10 forming a core, at least one of a resin prepreg 12 of a paralleled sheet having the reinforcing fiber S1 directed to the nearly shaft length direction, and a resin prepreg of a woven fabric having the reinforcing fiber in one direction directed to the nearly shaft length direction, a resin prepreg 14 of the paralleled sheet having the reinforcing fiber S2 directed to the direction tilted to the shaft direction, and another resin prepreg 16 of the paralleled sheet having the reinforcing fiber S3 directed to the direction tilted to the shaft direction so as to be nearly symmetrical to the reinforcing fiber S2 directed to the direction tilted to the shaft direction.
