NEW DERIVATIVE OF OPIOID PEPTIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low molecular weight derivative of opioid peptide having high affinity to an opioid receptor, exhibiting an excellent analgesic effect. SOLUTION: The peptide derivative is expressed by general formula (T): X-Pro-Phe-NH-Y [X is dimethyltyrosine, Y is: a (substituted) quinolyl or isoquinolyl residue]. The peptide derivative of general formula (I) manifests a high specific affinity toμ-opioid receptor and exhibits an excellent analgesic effect. A new analgetic drug is expectable because a pepeptide derivative of general formula (I) manifestingμ-recsptor agonist activity andδ-receptor antagonist activity exhibits an excellent analgesic effect and is expectable of reducing side effects observed in the conventional opioid compound.
