PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forced-air-cooled cylinder injection engine for ensuring stable operation of a forcedly cooled injector and achieving low noise operation of the injector. SOLUTION: This forced-air-cooled cylinder injection engine 20 comprises an injector 24 mounted on a wall of a cylinder 22 for directly injecting fuel from the injector 24 to the cylinder 22, the engine 20 being covered wholly with an air shroud 37 and forcedly cooled by cooling air introduced into the air shroud 37, the injector 24 being covered with the air shroud 37. Since the injector 24 is forcedly cooled, by cooling air introduced into the air shroud 37, its temperature rise is restricted, and the injector 24 an have stable operation. Leakage of the operation noise of the injector 24 to the outside is cut by the air shroud 37 and the operating noises of the injector 24 is restrained to be low, and a low noise operation is achieved.
