PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive belt conveyor roller supporting device easily visually recognizable when detecting an abnormal temperature, simplified in constitution and easy to mount. SOLUTION: Rollers 2, 3 for guiding and supporting a belt are freely rotatably supported on a support shaft 5 by a rolling beating 7. A hole 10 is formed at an end part of the support shaft 5 and a bottomed cup 12 is fitted and inserted. Within the cup 12, a freely axially movable indicating member 13 and a spring member 14 for projection and energizing therefor are stored. Projection of the indicating member 13 is regulated by a snap ring 15 made shape memory alloy. The snap ring 15 is deformed at a prescribed temperature or more and the regulation of the projection is released.
