PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety block for guiding a visually handicapped person capable of attaching a lock pin firmly and stably without being disengaged or making gaps around the pin and holding down the execution cost. SOLUTION: This safety block 1 for guiding a visually handicapped person to be detachably attached on the upper surface of a body to be attached has a steel block body 2 with a projection 5 at the center on the rear side and an attaching bolt 10. The projection 5, which opens at the bottom end and has a female screw 4 inside, is inserted into an attaching hole 12 bored on a body to be attached 11 such as a carpet. The attaching bolt 10 is screwed with the female screw 4 of the block body by inserting a washer 12 from below to grasp the body to be attached 11 between the washer 12 and the block body 2. In the safety block 1, a lock pin 6 is fixed by calking on the rear surface of the block body 2.
