PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal ornament wherein gems are mounted on a base material comprising a thin plate of precious metals and a method for preparing the same. SOLUTION: The personal ornament is formed from a three-dimensional body prepared by pressing a thin plate of precious metals, a recess formed by pressing the body from the outside, a gem fitted in the recess, and a flange part formed by deforming the periphery of the recess inward thereof by means of pressing.
