PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent carrier characteristic without unevenness of conveyance even when dispersion of charged amounts exists in charged particles, in an electric field curtain type carrier device. SOLUTION: In a carrier device which is provided with a carrier electrode 1 capable of carrying charged particles on an electrode group by traveling wave electric field and an opposed electrode 69 opposed to the carrier electrode 1 with a gap, flies the charged particles between the carrier electrode 1 and the opposed electrode 69 by alternating electric field made by the opposed electrode 69 and performs carrier by traveling wave electric field by the carrier electrode 1, alternating voltage impressed on the opposed electrode 69 is made to have a waveform having a duty in which time is different between voltage impressing time directed to one polarity and voltage impressing time directed to the other polarity. |
