PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel driver for a printer capable of satisfactorily oscillating a lateral swinging roller in an axial direction even when the roller 9 is moved perpendicularly to the axial direction. SOLUTION: The driver for a printer comprises bars 36a, 36b, 36c (exemplified at three positions) for axially reciprocatingly moving a lateral swinging roller 9. Since the bars are connected to the roller 9 through a joint 41 so as to relatively move so that the bars and the roller 9 cancel the movement perpendicularly to the axial direction of the roller 9, even when the roller 9 is not moved perpendicularly to the axial direction, the roller 9 can be axially satisfactorily oscillated. |
