<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and erasing apparatus and a recording and/or erasure method using the same whereby a good recording and erasure state can be formed to heat-sensitive recording media and thermally reversible recording media, and which are particularly effective to record and/or erase to media of a large area. SOLUTION: The recording and erasing apparatus has a heating head 10. The heating head is constituted of at least one block 12 with a heat stability. A heat- generating source 18 is set in the block. A self control type heat cell is used as the heat-generating source. The method of recording and/or erasing information to recording media with the use of the heating head includes a method in which while a relative scanning speed between the heating head maintained at a constant temperature and the recording medium is kept constant and a distance therebetween is selected, at least one process of recording, non-recording and erasing is carried out, and a method in which while the distance between the heating head maintained at the constant temperature and the recording medium is kept constant and the relative scanning speed therebetween is selected, at least one process of recording, non-recording and erasing is carried out.</p> |
