REPETITIVE DECODING CONTROLLER OF TURBO DECODING DEVICE AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A repetitive decoding controller of a turbo decoding device is provided to apply an SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) of an estimated channel to repetitive decoding frequency control of the turbo decoding device, by using a pilot channel signal or a pilot symbol signal received in a receiving terminal of a wireless communication system. CONSTITUTION: A channel estimation block(210) estimates a channel state of a pilot channel signal or a pilot symbol signal received from an exterior, and compares the channel state. A repetitive decoding frequency controller(220) controls the number of repetitive decoding times, by using an estimated value of the channel estimation block(210). A decoding block(230) performs repetitive decoding as many as the controlled number of the repetitive decoding times. The channel estimation block(210) comprises as follows. Channel estimators(211,212) estimate the channel state of the pilot channel signal or the pilot symbol signal. A comparator(213) compares an SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) of an estimated channel of the channel estimators(211,212) with a preset threshold value.
