PURPOSE: An office code translation method in an exchange is provided to prevent a waste of each office code by assigning one office code to numerous exchanges. CONSTITUTION: When an office code is translated, whether a call type of the office code is a local call or an outgoing call, is analyzed. On the occasion of the local call, a type of the office code is analyzed, a processor(111) decides whether the local call is accepted or the local call and a transit call are accepted at the same time. On the occasion of the acceptance of the local call and the transit call, the processor(111) analyzes a part of a digit of a received subscriber number, and analyzes a corresponding office code type again, and decides whether the local call or the outgoing call, and performs a pertinent call process.
