PURPOSE: An overheat preventing method of a motor driving section is provided to prevent the damage of a device and the malfunctioning of a system by preventing the overheat of a power module. CONSTITUTION: The temperature of a motor driving section is continuously detected when strokes of a washing machine is performed. If the detected temperature of the motor driving section is over the first reference temperature, the proceeding stroke is stopped. After the stroke is stopped, the temperature of the motor driving section is continuously detected. If the detected temperature of the motor driving section is under the second reference temperature lower than the first reference temperature, the stopped stroke is resumed.
