PURPOSE: A mobile terminal is provided to efficiently support multimedia service in advanced mobile communication systems like an IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) system. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal is divided into a radio communication module(20) and a voice call processing module(24). The radio communication module(20) is provided with a radio communication processing part(200), a radio LAN antenna(210) and a radio LAN processing part(212). The radio communication processing part(200) is comprised of an RF transmitting/receiving part(202), a CDMA modem(204) and an external input/output part(206). The voice call processing module(24) is provided with a voice call processing part(246), a radio LAN antenna(242) and a radio LAN processing part(244). The radio communication module(20) receives an RF radio wave from a base station through the RF transmitting/receiving part(202) and converts it into an RF signal. The CDMA modem(204) executes CDMA modulation and/or demodulation for the RF signal, based on A/D conversion. The radio LAN processing part(212) transmits and/or receives a radio LAN signal through a radio LAN channel using the radio LAN antenna(210).
