PURPOSE: A method for composing a context when coding selectively interlaced scanning shape information is provided to improve information pressure efficiency by classifying a template and a context into field binary shape information and frame binary shape information and composing the template and the context when coding binary shape information. CONSTITUTION: A coding mode is determined according to a type of inputted binary shape information and a motion degree of binary shape information. A frame estimation is performed when the determined type of binary shape information is a frame mode, and a field estimation is performed when determined type of binary shape information is a field mode. A motion estimation of shape information is performed according to the determined coding mode, and a motion of shape information is compensated using an estimated value. Compensated binary shape information is encoded using the determined coding mode. |
