PURPOSE: A noise reduction structure for compressor is provided, in which the structural strength of the closed container interposed between the motor and the compressor is improved, to thereby prevent radiation of noise caused by a pressure pulse produced during gas discharge from the compressor. CONSTITUTION: A motor unit for producing a driving force, and a compressor unit for receiving the driving force from the motor unit and which sucks and compresses the gas and discharges the compressed gas are mounted within a closed container(1). A reinforcing member(20) is coupled to the inner surface of the closed container interposed between the motor unit and the compressor unit. The reinforcing member is formed of a cylinder(5) having a predetermined thickness and width, and has an oil groove formed at the outer periphery of the cylinder so as to allow the oil to pass when coupled to the closed container. The motor unit includes a stator(2) coupled to the inner surface of the closed container, and a rotor(3) coupled to the interior of the stator. The compressor unit includes a rotation axis(4) having an eccentric portion(4a), the cylinder having a compression space; upper and lower bearing(7,8) coupled to the upper and lower portions of the cylinder through a bolt(6) so as to support the rotation axis; a rolling piston(9) inserted into the eccentric portion of the rotation axis; and a vane having an end contacting the outer periphery of the rolling piston and which sections the compression space into a suction chamber and a compression chamber in accordance with the eccentric motion of the rolling piston.
