PURPOSE: A solution concentration control apparatus for absorption heat pump is provided to maintain optimum operation state by changing concentration of absorption solution existing within a generator and an absorber when the operation condition changes. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a condenser(1) for concentrating the refrigerant; a refrigerant tank(2) connected to an outlet of the condenser; a refrigerant heat exchanger(3) connected to the refrigerant tank; an expansion valve for controlling the amount of the refrigerant flowing into the condenser; and a heat exchanger(8) installed within the refrigerant tank and which has a cooling medium flowing through the heat exchanger so as to effect the heat exchanging operation with the liquid refrigerant. Thus, the degree of opening of the expansion valve is adjusted in accordance with the temperature difference between the refrigerant at the outlet of the refrigerant tank and the cooling medium flowing through the heat exchanger.
