PURPOSE: The learning method using a learning mileage avatar is provided to increase the will of learning, by allowing a learner to select one of various avatar characters, and the selected avatar to grow in association with the accumulated learning time of the leaner and the learning degree achieved by the learner. CONSTITUTION: A learning web site in a server determines whether a user accesses the web site at first time, when the user clicks the web site(100,300). The information of a user is stored in a database(4), and the basic mileage of predetermined points is given to the user, and one of the avatar characters is selected(200). If the user is a member registered already, he/she is allowed to select a menu(400). If a learning menu is selected, a learning procedure is performed(600). When the learning procedure is ended, the learning mileage is calculated, and then the information in a learning mileage database(5) is updated, and the avatar growth information in an avatar character database(800,700). When a mileage menu is selected, it is displayed(900). If all of the accumulated mileage is used, the basic mileage is given to the user when the learning procedure is performed again(1000,1001).
