PURPOSE: A device for monitoring a state error of a board in a DSLAM(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) system is provided to monitor states of external boards mounted on back boards, and to perceive current states of the system. CONSTITUTION: An input unit(21) buffers state signals inputted from many boards mounted on back boards, and outputs the state signals. A latch unit(22) latches the state signals according to supplied clock signals. A comparator(23) compares the state signals with current inputted state signals. If the state signals are not in accord with the current inputted state signals, the comparator(23) transmits an interrupt requesting signal to a control unit. A controller(24) receives addresses, read/write signals and chip selecting signals, and decodes the addresses, the read/write signals and the chip selecting signals. The controller(24) supplies the decoded signals as output control signals controlling outputs of the state signals, and transmits an interrupt vector value to a data bus. An output unit(25) outputs the state signals outputted from the latch unit(22) to the control unit according to the output control signals.
