PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a service request message of a network printer is provided to transmit a request message by a network printer to automatically make out the message if an after-sale service is needed to the printer, and to transmit the message to an address of a service center stored inside of the printer. CONSTITUTION: A network printer performs self-diagnoisis whether the recovery or exchange is needed automatically(s10). A relevant service request message stored in a storage unit, an e-mail address and a telephone number of a network printer operator are read. In addition, a service request message in which the relevant service request message, the e-mail address and the telephone number of the operator are recorded is made out(S20). The e-mail address stored in the storage unit is read. The service request message is transmitted to the e-mail address of the service center through a network(S30).
