PURPOSE: A channel interface device for a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to detect a sync byte before writing decoded data from a channel decoding unit in a storing unit and writes data by a packet. CONSTITUTION: A tuner(100) tunes a signal received from an antenna as a certain band. A channel decoding unit(200) decodes a channel from the signal tuned in the tuner(100). A channel interfacing unit(300) detects a sync byte from the signal decoded in the channel decoding unit(200) and writes data from a certain position of a storing unit(400). A transport demultiplexing unit(500) reads a signal stored in the storing unit(400) from the certain position and demultiplexes the read signal.
