EXCESS CURRENT CONTROL METHOD OF WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: An excess current control method appropriately adjusts the switching duty rate of voltage(current) pulse flowing in the motor driving part(inverter) and control voltage of a DC link end running the motor driving normally so as to prevent circuit elements on the side to the DC link end from being damaged by excess current on braking a washing machine generated if the motor driving part is unconditionally stopped on detecting abnormal current as usual. CONSTITUTION: An excess current control method comprises a step to detect abnormal current flowing in the side of a DC link end on normal operation and braking of a washing machine by a current protector installed in a system and compare the current with the set standard current value and a step to change the switching duty rate of voltage(current) pulse flowing in a motor driving part from the normal operation and control the voltage of the side to the DC link end if the detected current value exceeds the standard current value.
