PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve handleability by miniaturizing a memory means in a passenger guiding system informing each user of arrival at a station of destination. SOLUTION: This passenger guiding system comprise a memory means 1 memorizing utilizing section information including the name of a station of destination, a ticket examination reader writer 2 writing the utilizing section information in the memory means 1, a station name information sending machine 3 radio transmitting station name information, and a portable unit 4 constituted separately from and equipped with the memory means 1. In the passenger guiding system, the portable unit 4 is provided with an input means leading out the utilizing section information memorized in the memory means 1, a receiving means receiving the station name information radio transmitted from the station name information sending machine 3, a judging means judging arrival at a station of destination by comparing the name of the station of destination and the station name information, and a conveying means informing a user of arrival at the station of destination when the judging means detects the arrival at the station of destination.
