<p>Sensors (5-7) are coupled to an arm (2) and to support structure (1) for generating signals depending on position of arm with respect to support structure. An electronic identification unit (17) stores identifying data relevant to the head gauging which checks linear dimension of the mechanical piece. A feeler (3) is coupled to the arm for touching the surface of mechanical piece to be checked. An independent claim is also included for linear dimension checking method.</p> |
