The operating stand has a process computer with a display screen and if appropriate a printer. There is a height adjustable operator's desk (10) on a mobile base (28) and a linear adjustment drive regulated by the process computer. Different values for height of the operator's desk are stored in the process computer and can be associated with user-related data, so that the desk driven to a predefined height when a person-related data entry is made.
