<p>A rotating shaft device drivingly rotating a rotating shaft such as a spindle and a feed screw shaft and a machine tool having the rotating shaft device, wherein the rotating shaft is supported rotatably through bearings on a housing, a lubricant-containing member formed by impregnating therein lubricant to be supplied to the bearings is installed on the rotating shaft, and the lubricant released and separated from the lubricant-containing member by a centrifugal force caused by the rotation of the rotating shaft is fed to the bearings through a lubricant feeding path communicating between the inside of the bearings or near the bearings and the lubricant-containing member, whereby the life of the rotating shaft device is prolonged even when the speed of the rotating shaft such as the spindle and feed screw shaft is raised to a high speed.</p> |
