The invention discloses a new kind of polypeptide-serine/threonine kinase 29 and polynucleotide encoding the polypeptide and a process for producing the polypeptide by recombinant methods. It also discloses the method of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various kinds of diseases, such as cancer, hemopathology, HIV infection, immune diseases and inflammation. The antibody and antagonist of the polypeptide and the therapeutic use of the same is also disclosed. In addition, it refers to the use of polynucleotide encoding said serine/threonine kinase 29.
