A control circuit (U2) prohibits the driving of a motor (27) based on a motor actual current signal and a steering torque signal (TQ) to set-up an offset current (delta IOS) smaller than a correction signal (delta I). The control circuit drives the motor based on a compensation motor control signal (IMS') to correct a motor control signal (IMS). Another control unit (U1) computes the offset current that corrects the correction signal and the motor actual current signal that corrects the motor control signal based on the controlled variable of a driving force allocator.
