PURPOSE: An air compressor clutch apparatus is provided to protect the magnetic clutch from thermal injury by maintaining fluid to be interposed between the clutch plate and rotor even during the power transmission. CONSTITUTION: A fluid storage chamber(33) filled with a fluid(32) is formed within a rotor(30), and an auxiliary fluid storage chamber(34) is formed at an inner surface of the fluid storage chamber. The fluid storage chamber has circular grooves(36a,36b,36c,36d) formed at the other inner surface of the fluid storage chamber, in such a manner that circular grooves form a center same as the rotation center of the rotor. The fluid storage chamber has a clutch plate(40) installed within the fluid storage chamber, such that the clutch plate is movable in an axial direction by a metal adsorb plate(35) which is adsorbed by a solenoid(SL). The clutch plate has circular protrusions(46a,46b,46c,46d) formed at the clutch plate, such that circular protrusions enter or exiting from the circular grooves. The clutch plate has a bypass hole(48) penetrating from the auxiliary fluid storage chamber to the opposite.
