Print job display with option selection and preview

A method of displaying multiple printer options in a graphical user interface includes dividing a viewing window into first (50) and second (52) portions separated by a first divider (54) including a first visible affordance (55) and displaying a scrollable list of features (64) in the first portion (50) together with a scroll bar (66). A currently selected one of the features is differentiated from non-selected features in the list (64) in a first visually distinct manner and other selected features of the list (64) are differentiated from non-selected features in the list (64) in a second visually distinct manner. The method also includes dividing the second portion (52) into first (56) and second (58) sub-portions separated by a second divider (60) including a second visible affordance (61) and displaying a print preview image (68) of a selected page in a document that is to be printed in the first sub-portion (56). The second sub portion (58) can display print job status and controls for the currently selected feature. Selecting a feature temporarily interrupts the print job, displays the controls for the feature and shows any changes in the preview.
