PURPOSE: A method for alarming rear crash of a vehicle is provided to decide if an obstacle is and to prevent alarm from unnecessarily given by not giving alarm under unnecessary alarm conditions. CONSTITUTION: A method for alarming rear crash of a vehicle comprises steps of a first and second ultrasonic transmission and reception(S20-S24),(S25-S29) calculating the distance between an obstacle after deciding an effective receiving signal reflected on an obstacle by giving the ultrasonic signal several times, an alarm control(S30-S34) comparing each distance calculated in the step of transmitting and receiving ultrasonic and cutting off unnecessary alarm by deciding the result comes under the alarm control condition, and the alarming(S35-S37) comparing the distance to an obstacle and a reference distance and giving the alarm several times if the result of step of the alarm control doesn't come under the alarm control condition.
